Peter Burgess Racing Cylinder Head

This head came off my +060 Peter Burgess engine which was in the race car when I bought it. It is a true masterpiece, with enormous ports, bronze valve guides and huge valves. It has been skimmed to give about 11.5:1 compression, using low-dish pistons. The estimated bhp output, when matched to the right block and camshaft is close to 150.

Peter wants over 800 GBP for reproducing this work. He is worth every penny.

I sell this item, because I was going crossflow last year and V8 this year. I really wouldn't mind keeping it, but time & space prevails. Besides, if someone else can enjoy this part, then I am all for it!

This head can be had for $950 US Dollars. This is roughly half the price of a brand new head from Peter.

Look at those valves. Also note that the shape of the combustion chambers has been changed. All secrets are in his books - and also requires a steady hand!

Top side. I have the springs removed for storage. I don't want to exercise undue load on the parts. Springs and reatainers are good for over 7000rpm.
