MSX Crossflow Alloy Heads

I can supply brand new MSX Crossflow heads at very competitive prices.

All heads come complete with valves, dual springs, retainers, studs and even special NGK Platinum-tip spark plugs! The valves have been lapped in and the head is ready to bolt-on. As an extra "value-added" feature, I will spend some time de-burring and smoothing out the ports from their factory finish. They can be a bit rough sometimes. All this at no extra cost to you!

As always, if and when you decide to buy from me, you will not be left alone. I will help you get the most out of the product. This will mean tweaking the carburetors, jetting, timing and so forth. You will have full support - until you are happy - throughout the process. You just keep in touch and we will do it together.

I have quite extensive experience of crossflow heads for B-series engines, as I run this setup in both my road-car as well as my race-car. The road-car has an original HRG Derrington head from 1962. A real beauty!

You can expect a significant increase in horsepower, just by bolting on a head like this. but for best performance, you should also change the camshaft to one with longer duration and higher lift, in order to take full advantage of the better breathing capabilities of a crossflow head. Other advantages of these heads include significantly cooler running, higher compression without pinging (thanks to the cooler combustion process).

The current price for a complete head, as described above, is $1100 US Dollars.

Other items that you may want to consider:

You can also order a "bare" head, if you whish to use your own valves or work on it yourself. Ask for price!

I am using a set of SK Racing 40mm carbs for this setup. Basically, the SK Racing carbs were Japanese copies of Webers, with some added feaures. They are no longer available. It is better to use smaller carbs for a road application, where you want low-end torque and fuel-economy. the choke size is what matters. I am using 32mm in these, so I could have used 45 DCOE with the smallest chokes...
